Evermoon MOBA launches in alpha on mobile. Something for Dota and League of Legends fans?

Evermoon MOBA launches in free-to-play alpha on mobile
15 December 2022

League of Legends and DOTA-inspired new Web3 MOBA Evermoon has now launched on iOS and Android mobile devices. Evermoon previously delayed its official Alpha launch, set on November 28 as the game had many bugs and needed resolving. Players can now download the game using the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store and receive some free collectibles in order to play the game.

How to play Evermoon MOBA?

Players join a 5v5 matchup and try to destroy the enemy towers to reach their base and destroy it. Players earn currency through kills and later it can be exchanged for items that make the character more powerful. Similarly to League of Legends, Evermoon is a strategy game with three lanes. This might sit well with fans of similar MOBA games like LoL and Paladins. Although it is a MOBA, it has numerous differences from the famous AAA games. For example, an important part of Evermoon is that characters are collectibles. They are called Heroes and are divided into six categories, Fighter, Tank, Mage, Assassin, Support, and Marksman. Each category comes with its special powers and plays a different role in the game strategy. One of the more recent hero reveals was Forius, a tank type hero, who has an ability to create a forest and mist around the Planterious Forest to protect his allies.

When Evermoon opened its servers on Dec 9th they reported having 10000 players rush and crash their servers, but the issue has been now fixed. The game is free to play with a play-and-earn mechanic in place.
